A new women-only group has its inaugural meeting Tuesday, March 1 from 7 to 8 PM, and the Communities for Recovery venue.  For details see the meeting listing.

The meeting at All Saint’s Episcopal, normally held Thursdays at 7 PM, will not be held tonight since it is New Year’s Eve.  See you there next week!  Happy safe and sober Holidays to all!

The Tuesday night Spiritual Awakening meeting moves from Round Rock to Cedar Park effective 1/5/1. It also changes its start time to 7:30pm.  For more details, see the Spiritual Awakening Meeting link.

The Austin SAA Intergroup is hosting its next twice-a-year retreat on October 24th and 25th in Wimberley, Texas.  The topic is “My Recovery Plan: Going to Any Lengths.”

Space is filling up fast, but there are still slots open, and scholarships (full or partial) are also available if money is an issue.  View a flyer, find out more, and even register at the retreat registration website.

The Saturday morning “Abstinence and Boundaries” meeting is moving to a new location starting September 26th! The new location is in the Communities for Recovery Building (CFR) on the grounds of the Austin State Hospital (ASH) just a few blocks from the current location.

The START TIME will also return to its usual time of 9:30 AM beginning on the 26th.

September 19th is the last meeting at Trinity United Methodist Church starting at 9 AM.  Come say goodbye to the lovely chapel where we’ve been meeting for the last several years, and then join us on the 26th (at 9:30 AM) to check out the great new space!

The CFR space will also be the new venue for several events that occur directly after the Saturday meeting, such as the monthly intergroup business meeting.

Meetings at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection (ECR) in north central Austin have a new meeting location effective immediately.  The new room is in the main Sanctuary Building, Room One.   Currently this effects the North noon meetings, which are Monday and Wednesday.

The Austin Area SAA Intergroup will be hosting its semi-annual SAA Retreat on Saturday April 25 and Sunday April 26, 2015.  The retreat will take place at our customary venue, the scenic 7A Ranch Resort in Wimberley, Texas.  The event is open to all SAA members over the age of 18.

This spring, the topic is the Outer Circle.  In addition to three workshops and two meetings, the event includes food, lodging and ample opportunity for fun and fellowship.  The cost is $95, but scholarships are available.  Capacity is limited, so early registration is encouraged.
